Three churches

There is a "three churches" in the backyard of Dinglin Temple, which houses the founders of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. They work in the same hall and get along very harmoniously.
The ginkgo tree in the courtyard is said to have been planted in the Tang Dynasty and is about 1300 years old. This ginkgo tree grows differently from ordinary trees. Ordinary trees, big trees shading bully small trees, will not let the small trees grow, and this ginkgo tree, it actively makes room for the small trees to grow up, and the more The smaller the longer the straighter, the saying goes, "It is better to be a person under a person than a tree under a tree." But this tree has grown this style, so it is also called "style tree". The ginkgo tree is also called "gongsun tree", which means that the ginkgo tree planted by the grandfather can only be eaten by the grandson. Now the grafting of ginkgo trees can bear fruit in three to five years. The big tree in the middle is grandpa, the big one around is the son, and the small one is the grandson.
The Three Churches are very unique to Dinglin Temple. They are a little later than Dinglin Temple, and they are dedicated to Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The feudal rulers of different dynasties have different respects. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty respected Confucianism. Emperor Liang Wu respected Buddhism as the state religion. Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty respected Taoism. It had a profound influence on later generations. "Teach" to quell the teaching disputes, and "three churches" have been set up in various places, and believers of different religions can worship together in the same church, which is a good way to resolve conflicts and reconcile disputes, which reflects the current harmonious coexistence.
